About the Founder:

Meet the Heart Behind the Joy – Jacquie Hermans

Hi! I’m Jacquie—Certified Personal Trainer, Yoga and Fitness Instructor, Holistic Coach, and your child’s soon-to-be Joy Guide!

With 30+ years of experience working with kids and teens—from leading swim lessons, to teaching Improv and Mindfulness for the YRDSB and the DDSB (JK - Grade 12), to producing award-winning youth television—I've seen how powerful movement, play, creativity, and mindfulness can be for building emotional resilience.

I’ve trained through Second City in improv comedy (expect laughter!), coached Emotional Intelligence in corporate boardrooms (yes, adults need it too!), and supported youth in crisis as the Nightstop Team Lead for 360Kids. I’m also certified in CPR, Mental Health First Aid, Suicide Prevention, and Adult Teaching & Training.

Joyful Kids Collective is a culmination of all my passions: physical movement, emotional awareness, imagination, and heart-centered connection. Through yoga, breathwork, fitness, creative expression, and a good dose of silly—your child will gain tools for life.

I can’t wait to welcome your joyful humans!
