We all have a unique healing journey. The pain and trauma we experienced in life have made us who we are today. The story I told myself and that others reinforced for most of my 52 years was that of not being enough. The thoughts and emotions that would come up in interactions with my parents or my husband (at the time), reinforced the belief of “I am not enough” and provided me with a distorted viewpoint of myself. My story affected my reality.
I learned this to be true from the energy and emotions I felt from all of my interactions (potentially from parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins. school systems, employers, and the media).
My story affected my body image, belief in myself, communication, career journey, and the relationships that I held.
The people I attracted into my life helped to at first reinforce my story of “not enough”, but was also the driving force to stand in my power, speak my truth, set boundaries, and embrace my authentic self.
My Improv Journey…
I took improv training with Second City and used it as an emotional intelligence boot camp. I gave myself strategies to overcome my fears, to change my thoughts, and doing this while I was laughing and playing. I became more of myself than ever before. I had evidence that I could handle what life threw me which helped to decrease anxiety and stress.
After having my first child I quit my job to raise my kids. This shocked me since I’m a Capricorn. “Climb that career mountain!”
I started my own business with improv-based personal development workshops.
I worked through feelings of guilt and of “not being enough” being torn between spending time with my kids versus working on growing my business. I also had to deal with not only my fears but the fears of my partner from not having a steady income.
I made it work for 14 years, but it wasn’t without challenges financially, emotionally, and within my relationship.
Meet… “The Goddess of Joy”
Madame Euphrosyne is my comedic and racy alter ego, inspired by my European roots, and a tool to not only ignite the laughs but also has been a tool to safely express my spirituality and sexuality. A tool that helped me come out of the spirituality closest and was a powerful tool to heal my sexuality from a trauma when I was 14.
We are all on our own spiritual healing journey.
If you need support working through your journey. I am here.
I spread JOY through yoga, energy healing, meditation, fun improv-based workshops, laughter, and entertainment that helps you to love your authentic self.
When you laugh, you fuel every cell in your body with joy-filled energy. Laughter ignites your creativity and re-directs your thoughts to optimism and opportunity.
