Meet Jacquie Hermans - Founder of Joyful Kids Collective
Jacquie Hermans, aka The Joyful Yogini, is a Certified Personal Trainer, Yoga Instructor, and Fitness Professional with over 30 years of experience working with children and youth in schools, pools, fitness centres, and community programs. Her passion for helping kids build confidence, resilience, and joy is the heart behind Joyful Kids Collective.
Jacquie is certified in Mental Health First Aid, Suicide Prevention, and CPR, and holds credentials as an Adult Teacher and Trainer. She brings a holistic, trauma-informed approach to everything she does, blending movement, mindfulness, creativity, and emotional intelligence to empower young minds and bodies.
Her extensive background includes:
Team Lead for 360Kids’ Nightstop Program, supporting youth in crisis
TV Producer & Host of youth-based programs including RANT (an award-winning youth talk show) and Shock (created for youth, by youth)
Corporate Trainer specializing in Emotional Intelligence & Team Building
Trained improv performer through Second City, using comedy and creativity to help kids express themselves and connect with others
Jacquie is also a mother of 3, with two girls in University and her boy in high school.
She has taught improv and mindfulness for the YRDSB and the DDSB for Jk students to grade 12.
At camp and after-school sessions, your kids will laugh, move, breathe, and grow, guided by a highly trained and deeply passionate leader who’s committed to their mental, emotional, and physical well-being.
